In 2006, Yaz made a pilgrimage to her father's hometown of Istanbul. In a state of total awe and admiration for the stunning city of her heritage, Yaz remained in Istanbul for the next five years. In this time, as a TEFL trained teacher, she taught at five different schools; four adult centres and one comprehensive.
