If you decide to go further away from the urban areas, 1 - 2 hour distance to Istanbul, depending on which part of the city you are, there is Agva, Yuvacik , Serindere and Inonu Valleys, all along the black sea coast, northeast of Istanbul. There is also Heybeliada, one of the less populated Prince Islands, with pine forests and hills with views.

Some of the few other spots which are near urban centers on European side are: Ataturk Arboretum, Emirgan Korusu (Emirgan Grove), Belgrad Ormani (Belgrad Forest) and Yildiz Parki which surrounds Yildiz Palace.

If you want to have a panoramic view of istanbul, go to eyup sultan and enjoy a lonnnnng walk to the mountain then visit the pierre loti cafe.

Or visit the camlica hill known as the hill of love, and try the yildiz park in besiktas.
