According to a lot of my friends here, the most insulting thing you could do is confuse them for Arabs or Greeks, i.e. not recognizing their culture as a seperate entity.
What you really wanted were bad words. Try this one: Serefsiz (Share- ef- siz). It means "Honorless." Besides being a totally bitching insight into Turkish culture, it will undoubtledly get you into a fight.
