Bazaar means there is lots of shops you can buy what you want
Bazaar is the english pronunciation of Pazar, an older turkish word that means "Market." They are basically open-air malls, often with historical locations and pedigrees. My favorite are the Spice Bazaar in Eminonu which is a tourist mainstay selling spices and the like, and the sunday vegetable bazaar in Tarlabasi, which is far, far, far "seedier" (pun intended). Go there after brunch for the best deals on produce and to see a side of the city you would ordinarily miss.
