How To Get Back to Sultanahmet from Taksim

Are you confused on how to get back to your hotel in Sultanahmet after you had lots of fun in Taksim? Not anymore! Here are the best options:

1. By Fenicular

If you are near Taksim Square and willing to use public transportation, you can take F1 Taksim-Kabataş Fenicular (it is in the same place with Taksim Metro) and hop on T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tramway. Sultanahmet is the 7th stop.

Fenicular works from 06.15 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. on weekdays and Saturday. It starts working at 06.30 a.m. on Sundays. It costs 2,15 TL with Istanbulkart.

 

2. By Tunnel

If you are at the end of Beyoglu Avenue, which is near Galata Tower, the best way of getting to tramway is to take T Karaköy Tunnel. You can reach Tunnel from Galata Tower through Büyük Hendek St. by a 5 minute walk. Then you can hop on T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tramway in Karaköy.

Tunnel works from 07.00 a.m. to 22.45 p.m. on weekdays and Saturday. It starts working at 07.30 p.m. on Sundays. It also costs 2,15 TL with Istanbulkart.

 

3. By Taxi

You would not expect but it costs little from Taksim to Sultanahmet if you do not allow the taxi driver deceiving you. It should cost around 12-15 TL. Therefore, as long as the taxi driver does not ask you more than 20 TL, you can enjoy a fast, easy travel by taxi.
