You can have dinner in pitch darkness in Beyoglu. Senses Restaurant offers dinners with no lights on. The waiters serve food with night vision binoculars. Senses restaurant was founded by 360 Istanbul, one of most reputable entertainment companies in Istanbul.

This interesting concept was originated by Jorge Spielmann, a 37 year old Swiss, in Zurich. Spielmann threw dinner parties to friends, and he would blind-fold his guests to be able to give them a dinner experience of a blind person like himself. He and four blind colleagues eventually raised money from a local businessman, and openned "Blind Cow" restaurant in an old church in Zurich. This unique experience attracts so many people that the bookings need to be made six months in advance. Blind Cow only hires blind people, and the guests need to blind-folded at all times.
